Even though it was only halfway through the week, I found myself to be in a muddled mess. I was exhausted, my muscles ached and I wanted nothing more than to indulge in complete and utter relaxation.

After checking in with the beaming receptionist, she lead me down the faintly lit hallway into the shower room so I could swap my jeans and tee for a silky Artesia robe.
As I came padding around the corner in my spongy spa sandals my masseuse greeted me with a gracious smile and proceeded to lead me into my personal sanctuary for the highly-anticipated LaStone Massage. For the next ninety minutes I dozed in and out of a sweet slumber, soaking up the sensations that both the hot and cold stones brought to my weary skin.
Artesia Spa's own Martin Semler, a six year practitioner of the highly regarded Native American rituals inspired LaStone Massage now debuts the LaStone therapy at Artesia. This unique stone massage therapy re-energizes the skin and muscles using hot and cold basalt stones and marbles.
When I awoke after what felt like a mere five minutes, my body felt glued to the soft linen sheets, pleading me to stay for another hour and a half. But after fighting with myself for a few moments, I finally summoned the power to peel myself from the warm confines of my temporary bed.
Once I had changed back into reality, I unhurriedly exited Artesia. I had entered the spa in a state of restlessness, but thanks to Artesia's proficient specialists and superlative treatments, I left in a blissful state nothing short of pure ecstasy.
