Mind Body Partnerships

Posted On : 1/11/2011 by Alexa Caryk

After all the stress from the holidays (food, family, gift giving…we’re exhausted just thinking about it), it’s about time to unwind. A twenty minute bubble bath just won’t do. We’re talking quiet, serene massages, some serious Microdermabrasion, or perhaps a few yoga classes. But all those de-stressors can add up, right? Financial strain is no way to ease stress. Enter Mind Body Partnerships.

Mind Body Partnerships is an elevated way to experience beauty, personal growth and holistic health services with the best spas and practitioners in San Diego and Orange County. Mind Body Partnerships makes it easy to find establishments that are conveniently close to you, and gives clients a major discount. Founded in 2002, Mind Body’s main goal is to “promote holistic health, beauty, personal fitness, inner and outer beauty, and personal growth as a part of everyday life.” They are committed to finding accessible and affordable wellness treatments for one and all. Hooray!

Custom Convenience: Finding the right treatment for you is easy. Basically, Mind Body is a network that does the hard work for you. Just type in your zip code and the distance you are willing to travel. Next, browse the services offered – there are 32 of them! They range from the practical – chiropractors, dental treatments, eye exams; to what some might call luxurious – chemical peels, tanning, waxing, etc. Once you make your selections, Mind Body gives you a new list of all those services, offered at a fraction of the cost, in your preferred area. Just purchase your coupon and you’re ready to roll!

The best part? The prices! You get a hefty discount just for being a new client, and Mind Body offers a variety of special offers, like the Indulgence packages. A spa sampler package worth $850, for only $129.99 will have you completely relaxed and revived in no time. And with plenty of customizable gift certificates, you’ll never have to think twice when gift giving ever again. Whew.

Giving Back: Mind Body and all its healthy and beauty affiliates (salons, spas, and medical practitioners) guarantee that once you receive your first discounted treatment, you’ll be coming back for more. You can sleep well knowing that Mind Body is an ethical company. A portion of sales go to its Spas for Schools Program, giving back to those pursuing careers in the holistic health field. Aww, it’s one big happy circle of love! For more information about how the Mind Body Partnerships network works and to sign up now, please visit mbpartnerships.com.

Horrible Customer Service

Former Practitioner for Mind Body Partnerships: I have to say, at first it was great. Well, that is after the lengthy and frustrating sign up process. I should have taken the initial cantankerous encounters as a sign to stay away. Anyway, I signed up for a marketing package and almost immediately started seeing results and clients were booking. A couple months into it, I was suddenly taken off their website. No warning, no call, just a canned email stating that my contract was terminated. When I called in to speak with Randy, the owner, I was basically told that I cannot advertise anywhere else while with them. Randy said that he was upset at the fact I was using the same ad campaign and certificate with other advertisers. Well, yeah! I was the one who created the offer in the first place! Why shouldn't I be able to use it elsewhere? I asked Randy why he couldn't just give me a call to discuss the issue in the first place and he actually started to list off all these reasons why he was too busy to basically engage in any sort of proactive customer service, i.e. "he's too busy managing all his events and new practitioners, and that he has zero tolerance for his practitioners engaging in other advertising with his competitors." Conversation over basically. Yet when I do searches on other businesses that advertise with MBP, I see they too are using similar services. I guess I just got singled out. So I agreed to pull all my other advertising. Once I did, I made several calls into Randy and numerous emails hoping to rectify the situation. Not one return call or email response. In summary, as a practitioner or business, if you can signed up with little hassle, just be sure not to have the need to call for customer service. If you have any troubles, run. Run fast and in the other direction.
