The advent of every New Year gives individuals the chance to redefine their lifestyle and set new goals for the future. While we all lead very different, parallel lives, somehow our New Year’s Resolutions remain very similar year after year.
One of the most common annual resolutions is to better our overall health and wellness, and now that we’re already a month into the New Year, there is never a better time than now to make those aspirations come true.
On Thursday, January 27th from 10am-2pm, Ranch & Coast Magazine will host its second annual Health & Beauty at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe, an interactive expo and luncheon that can help you achieve your 2011 goals.
Locals are invited to meet the Ranch & Coast team and enjoy a much-needed “New Year, New You” revitalization that features health and beauty leaders, fitness experts, local spas and salons, and various clothing boutiques. Attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of services from the beauty industry's cream of the crop. Stylists from Detour Salon will be on hand, offering complimentary consults and discounted feather extensions throughout the course of the day and representatives from Quattra Via Aveda Salon, Spa & Inner Beauty Gallery will offer shoulder massages as well as gift baskets and goodies.
Revamp your style with chic and sophisticated hats from Del Mar Hat Co., stylish patterned handbags from Maggie B, exquisite jewelry from Jean Waters Fine Accessories, and designer eyewear from Wink Optometry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive fitness tips from EZIA Human performance, a Cardiff-based training center that offers private coaching, physical therapy, nutrition and Group X classes; take home gluten-free recipes and goods from The Pure Pantry, a family-owned baking mix company in Encinitas; and learn about the advantages of advanced aesthetic procedures from Pacific Dermatology & Cosmetic Laser Center.
The four-hour event will also feature a spa-cuisine buffet lunch by The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe’s executive chef John Beriker. Enjoy light and refreshing gluten-free plates such as Asparagus and Watercress Soup; Cucumber and Watercress wrapped in iceberg lettuce leaves and basil mayonnaise; Smoked Salmon Salad with lemon oil dressing; and Cucumber and Watercress Sandwiches on Toasted Whole Grain Bread with basil mayonnaise.
In addition to the delectable lunch, boutique shopping, an opportunity drawing, and networking opportunities, the event will also feature a book signing by Elizabeth Kaplan of The Pure Pantry, who has recently authored a new cookbook, Fresh from Elizabeth's Kitchen: Gluten-free & Allergy-free Recipes.
Proceeds from the opportunity drawing will benefit The Country Friends, which supports human care agencies with emphasis on those providing services to women, children, and the elderly, with the objective of “Helping People To Help Themselves.” The opportunity drawing will feature fabulous prizes from Del Mar Hat Co., Henri Bendel, Jimmy Choo Eau De Parfum, Tory Burch, and more. Tickets to the event cost $45 and include entry, lunch, one opportunity drawing ticket, and a free goodie bag.
