Yoga Tropics in Encinitas is a hot new San Diego yoga studio…literally. In the eco-friendly, raw-eating coastal community that is Encinitas, yoga studios are plentiful and are constantly searching for alternative ways to balance one’s inner Chakra.
The hatha yoga sessions at Yoga Tropics are held in a room that is heated to about 107 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat allows for a deeper workout by warming muscles, enabling participants to sweat out more than in a normal yoga session, completely flushing the body of toxins.
Classes are offered fore beginners and advanced yogis, and classes are available in 60 and 90 minute increments. With around 25-30 different postures performed in each session, individuals will learn the art of balance, stretch, and breathing techniques while sweating out an incredible amount of water weight and calories. The studio is large and sunny and features floating hardwood floors and full length mirrors on two walls. Classes begin at 7am and run until 8pm Monday through Friday. Classes run from 8am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
For more advanced yogis, Yoga Tropics is offering a 30-day Yoga/Nutrition Challenge based on 30 days of consecutive yoga practice in their hot studio and a nutritional program and consultations beginning on March 24.
Yoga Tropics also offers teacher training for those who would like to instruct their own yoga sessions. The ten-week program teaches how to explore postures and how to teach students to experience their own healing and meditative practice.
Sessions at Yoga Tropics are definitely a great way to detox your system just in time for spring and summer. Don't forget your towels and water…you'll need them!
