The La Jolla Center for Facial Plastic Surgery

Published : 1/13/2007 by Michelle Guerin

It’s been said, and said again, that you can’t judge a book by its cover. But let’s face it, in a city as gorgeous as San Diego, physical first impressions are unavoidably central in determining your status in the local beauty buzz. The La Jolla Center for Facial Plastic Surgery has made a fabulous first impression in San Diego and guarantees their clientele will do the same. Their supreme expertise extends to every contour of the face, neck and scalp—reversing negative effects of sun exposure, age and heredity to restore natural, timeless beauty.

La Jolla’s own surgical bigwig, Dr. Amir, is convinced his craft has permanently left the realm of fad. His fascination with the intricacies of facial anatomy makes him extremely, if not atypically, passionate about sharing his art with needy San Diegans countywide. Dr. Amir’s continuously ascending status directly derives from his personal philosophy—meticulous attention to the patient’s specific desires. Amir’s artistic vision manifests in his state-of-the-art surgical techniques, including endoscopic forehead lift, laser skin resurfacing and follicular unit hair transplants.

Fueling the beauty buzz one customer at a time, Amir specializes in the exciting new product, Sculptra. This biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic material is used to correct large areas of volume loss in the face. Typically used for dissolvable stitches and various types of facial implants, Sculptra injection produces instantaneous fullness, leading to thicker, natural, healthier-looking skin. Science aside, straight up—this innovation is a liquid facelift that is performed in the office, requires no downtime and is known to last two years longer than other methods!

San Diego Rhinoplasty

Facial surgery seems to require the most talented of hands to produce a good result. I've had two friends receive decent facial plastic surgery but neither was as drastic as some of the changes i've seen on plastic surgery tv shows. I'm consdering rhinoplasty but haven't yet found a surgeon I'm confident in. I'll beging scheduling consultations next month and am doing a bit of digging around on Dsicoversd to find one.

rhinoplasty recommendation

Go to Dr. John Hilinski in Mission Hills. He is the best. Harvard trained, board cert. in both PS and as an ENT. He fixed the botched job I got the first time. Love him. He is young; don't be put off (38 or so...)
