Couples Halloween Costumes Ideas

So, you've decided to take the “next big step” in your relationship?

Whether you've been together for weeks or years, deciding to dress as a dynamic duo this Halloween in San Diego can be quite the undertaking. No fear, here are some of our favorite couples costume ideas that are sure to impress!

Roger Sterling and Joan from Mad Men: Roger Sterling is always in a three piece suit finished with a matching tie and pocket square. Try adding some gray spray-on temp hair color to bring out his inner silver fox! All she needs for Joan is a red up-do wig with side bangs paired with any ‘50s office attire. Just remember – it must be tight and show off every curve!

Machete and She: It's all about black, leather, and attitude with these two characters. For Machete, think “biker gone outlaw” – and don't forget the signature mustache! If you are feeling crafty, a black trench coat with fake knifes attached to the inside will set this look over the top. For She, pair black vinyl leggings with a black swim suit top. Accessorize with a huge black utility belt, eye patch, and shoulder holster.

Katie Perry and Russell Brand: The “California Girl” look with blue wig, high-waisted shorts and a bandeau swim top make for the perfect Katie Perry costume. Her English beau is always accessorized with plenty of chest hair, black duds, long dark locks, and a full face of stubble. (pictured left)

Finn and Rachel from Glee: The school girl inspired ensembles of Rachel usually consist of argyle sweaters, knee highs, and mini-skirts. However, the Rachel outfit is not complete without having her red and white football jersey wearing boyfriend Finn by her side.

Jessica Rabbit and Roger Rabbit: Jessica Rabbit is the most iconic cartoon sex symbol. Bring this red-head to life with a long red dress (preferably with long leg slit), some sky-high red heels and a pair of long elbow length gloves. Roger Rabbit's outfit made easy would take a tan trench coat with a goofy XL bowtie and topped off by a fedora with protruding ears.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono: The matching classic circular sunglasses and side-slung berets could pull off this look all on their own. Instead of going full on hippie, pair these items with some army green military inspired garb. The look will be unmistakable.

“Dog” and Beth Chapman: This fugitive hungry tag team has a very signature style that is easy to replicate. Dog always wears a tight leather vest, black jeans and a pair of ‘90s sunglasses. Finish this look with long blonde dreads and lots of stubble. Beth's full head of huge teased blonde hair and signature black ensembles will have anyone with record running the other way.

Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman: Rachel Zoe's curly wild blonde hair and the fact that she wears more accessories than humanly possible make this persona easy to imitate. Layers upon layers of print and texture paired with extra trendy shoes and extra large sunglasses will make this outfit “bananas”. Rodger's Beiber-style hair matched with his uniform of skinny jeans, suit jacket, scarf and aviators make him Rachel's perfect marital sidekick. (pictured main)
