Spending quality time with those you love can be hard during the holidays - especially if you are short on cash. To enhance your holiday date schedule this season, here are a few San Diego date ideas that are sure to impress your date without breaking the bank.

San Diego holiday parades and festivals are great activities to get you and your's in the holiday spirit. Grab you're his-and-her Santa hats and get ready to jump into the holiday season with these top holiday date ideas.

Coronado Holiday Parade and Snow Mountain
Re-discover the grandeur of Coronado during this signature holiday event - make sure to save extra time to gaze at the renowned Christmas tree at Hotel Del Coronado. Santa ferries are available for those who wish to travel in holiday style.

Pearl Hotel Movie Nights
Think drive-in movie, but poolside. This "dive in" special is offered Wednesdays at 8pm at the new Pearl Hotel in Point Loma. Upcoming Movies include Cool Hand Luke on December 5, 2007, and holiday double feature of Little Miss Sunshine and Charlie Brown Christmas on December 12, 2007, and another holiday double feature of A Christmas Story and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation on December 19, 2007.

Mission Bay Christmas Boat Parade of Lights
Invite your date on a magical holiday adventure on Mission Bay. The Parade of Lights displays beautifully lit boats floating down the bay. Bring a blanket-for-two and cozy up with your special someone right on the sand.

Old Town's Las Posadas and Fiesta Navidad Celebration

Christmas Card Lane in Penasquitos

Another I like to do during the holidays is take a stroll down Christmas Card Lane in Penasquitos... The whole neighborhood decks out their houses to celebrate the Christmas spirit... You can either take a slow drive through or park your car and experience it up close... Differnet houses with different themes really help bring out the holiday joy... and it doesn't cost a penny! Its right off of Black Mtn Road... not sure if theyre still up after christmas but no worries... theyll definitely be up next year...
