Man-Made Valentine's Day Bouquets

Posted On : 1/18/2012 by Kseniya Bublikova

Gentlemen, let’s face the facts: Valentine’s Day can make or break a relationship. You want that special someone to feel like you took time to think of a personalized present. If you’re really looking to impress your boo this year, you can toss the cheesy cards and useless teddy bears right out the window and instead, opt for a custom, hand-picked flower arrangement. Don’t stress, help is on the way.

Katherine Desko, owner of Lula Mae Flowers, is hosting two special flower arranging classes for men on February 12 & 13, helping you ensure a successful presentation on the big day.

The first class will focus on elaborate vase arrangements, starting at 2pm, while the second class will showcase the world of European-style hand-tied bouquets, starting at 7pm. Desko will lead thoughtful men through every step of the process, from selecting the perfect flowers for your lover’s personality to matching wonderful ribbons and unique vases with your final selections.  In addition, she will help you trim and properly position stems and add in the perfect balancing accents. All necessary items will be included in the class fee, which is $74. The arrangements will be kept in a floral cooler until Valentine’s Day.

While your sweetie will be beyond thrilled with the bouquet, he or she will be more impressed that you took the time to educate yourself and personally prepare the finest flowers possible.

Lula Mae Flowers is located at 1760 Kettner Blvd. in Little Italy. Learn more at lulamaeflowers.com
