The San Diego International Auto Show will be returning to the San Diego Convention Center Wednesday, December 26 through Sunday, December 30, 2007. Covering over 740,000 square feet of space with over 400 new-model vehicles, concept cars, 4x4s, tricked out whips and alternative fuel vehicles, this is San Diego's biggest and baddest auto-show ever.
Three new features promise to make the 2007 December auto show truly awesome.
1. Toyota Trucks Off Road On Site Adventure (Wed.-Fri.)
Located in the parking lot behind the Convention Center, Auto Show attendees can drive a Toyota Tundra, Tacoma or FJ Cruiser over a specially built 100,000 square-foot off-road test track that includes moguls, berms, teeter totter, bridge, rock crawl, and tunnel. Not only is it included with the price of admission, they also hook you up with a free gift while supplies last.
Original Tommy's will also be hosting the Ultimate Tailgate Party right next door with burgers and US 95.7 sponsored country music.
2. The Ultimate Ridez Expo
The Expo, located in the Convention Center's upstairs Sails Pavilion, will showcase tricked-out cars, mini-trucks, exotics and celebrity rides featuring the hottest trends in automotive customizing and aftermarket accessories with club-style entertainment. Think of it as Pimp My Ride on cars that were already amazing pre-pimping.
3. Relaxation Station
After walking through in the 740,000 square feet of the auto show, checking out the ultimate rides and test driving 4x4s on a custom track, you might need a pit stop. First, check out the Spa by Bardot "Spa Lounge" and treat yourself to a chair massage. You can even add some bling by getting a Diamond Infused Manicure.
You might want to make this your first stop if you happen to be at the show with someone who's not as into cars as you are. Just drop them off, see what you want to see and pick them up when you're done. It's almost like baby sitting for non-auto show people.
Wednesday, December 26, 2007 - Sunday, December 30, 2007: 10am - 10pm, except Sunday when they close early at 7pm. $10 for adults, $6 for kids except for Sunday when kids under 12 are free.
