Star: American Idol Auditions Are Back

Are you the next Adam Lambert? Do you want to represent San Diego on national television like Carly Smithson? Well talented locals, here is your chance. “American Idol” is finally making its way back down to San Diego in search of new contestants for next season.

If you think you can hold a high note and compete with America’s finest voices, come out to Petco Park on July 8 and show Randy, Jennifer, and Steven what you’re made of! Contestants have to be between the ages of 15 and 28 to compete on the show, but as we have seen from past televised auditions, that doesn’t mean anyone, and I stress ANYONE can’t be shown on the audition segment.  If your voice, like mine, is an enjoyable as a bikini wax, you can take the “5 seconds of fame” approach and debut your most outrageous behavior.

With the auditions segment being one of my favorite parts of the “American Idol” season, I cannot wait to see the talent and entertainment our city can bring to the TV screen.
