2011 Fiesta Del Sol in Solana Beach

Summer has arrived and what better way to celebrate than with an outdoor music festival. 32 years ago, the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce recognized the need for an annual community event to enjoy the warm weather. This year, Fiesta Del Sol takes place on June 4 & 5 from 9am to 9pm at Fletcher Cove in Solana Beach.

This free San Diego event will have tons of entertainment for all: arts and crafts, food vendors set up in an international food court, live musical performances, unique merchant booths, beer and wine gardens, and much more.

Make sure to bring the whole family since the festival is known for its amazing kid’s area, which consists of an interactive climbing wall, tons of rides, face painting, bounce houses, a fun hair salon, and many hands-on activities. The main stage will even feature special dance groups and musicians geared especially for the young crowd.

The Sound of Summer: Over 16 musical acts are already scheduled to perform, with a wide variety of music booked by the Belly Up Tavern. Common Sense will be setting a mellow vibe with their reggae rock tune while the popular band graVity will be taking to the stage to spread an amazing dance-festival feel. Mike Pinto will be playing his classic surf melodies with a ska twist and traditional Cuban music will be provided by the ever-popular Combo Libertad.
