Calling all jazz fans! If you have a penchant for incredible jazz, or just love attending holiday festivals, don’t miss out on what the community has dubbed “the crown jewel of jazz festivals.” The 32nd Annual Thanksgiving Dixieland Jazz Festival will be taking place Nov. 23rd through Nov 27th at the Town & Country Hotel.
Whether you’re into classic ragtime or New Orleans jazz, this festival will have a musical tune to please you as the rooms vary from intimate listening areas to double dance floors in full swing. Bands from all around the country will gather at this festival to present guests with the best jazz has to offer. The festival will feature over 15 bands and 9 performance venues. Headlines include Dave Bennett Quartet, Katie Cavera, Cornet Chop Suey, Dixie Express Jazz Band, Heliotrope Ragtime Orchestra, Tim Laughlin, High Society Jazz Band and many more.
Catering to festive foodies, a Thanksgiving feast is also set to take place as a champagne buffet. Traditional delicacies will include imported cheeses, a variety of harvest salads, roasted tom turkey with cranberry sauce, herb-crusted sirloin of beef and fluffy mashed potatoes. Save room for dessert, as several old-fashioned pies will be available along with black forest cake and champagne for all.
The Town & Country Hotel and Convention Center is located at 500 Hotel Circle North in central Mission Valley. For more event information, visit dixielandjazzfestival.org.
