5 Best Family Beaches in San Diego

San Diego beaches offer an idyllic stretch of sand for everyone. Whether you head to the beach to picnic with the family, relax solo, or party with friends new and old, your summer beach fix awaits in San Diego. For family fun, San Diego-style, head to the top family beaches and relax in peace while the kids run wild.

Coronado
Coronado Silver Strand is a quiet beach with four easily accessible parking lots. The sloping shoreline makes the beach safe for children throughout the day.

La Jolla
La Jolla Children's Pool is home to real sunbathing seals. Although this beach isn't the best for sandcastles, it makes a fun family adventure--and is great for photos.

La Jolla Shell Beach is north of Children's Pool where the sand is clear. From the shore, admire the seals and dolphins swimming in the waves.

Del Mar
