5 Best San Diego Restaurants for Seafood this Summer

Published : 7/30/2007 by admin admin

The summer season brings fresh seafood to the table in the San Diego restaurant scene. For quality seafood in an epicurean atmosphere, dine at San Diego's top seafood restaurants this summer.

Blue Point
Blue Point Coastal Cuisine is a chic Downtown oyster bar that offers waterfront seating, sparkling sunsets, and first class seafood. Try the Citrus Marinated Swordfish with grilled black Thai rice, citrus emulsion, and shiitake mushrooms on a warm summer evening. Downtown.

The Oceanaire
Nothing announces fresh seafood like the décor of a 1930's ocean liner. Pair class with the "ultra-fresh" pick of the day--straight from the sea. With a menu that changes daily, expect select Chilean swordfish, barracuda, loup de mar, and yellowtail jack. Downtown.

Ostera The Fish House
Ostera is a sleek, modern oyster bar with delectable seafood options. Try the Cilantro Crusted Mahi Mahi served with leeks and artichoke risotto in a yellow bell pepper coulis. Downtown.

The Fish Market
The Fish Market is the staple seafood restaurant of Del Mar. Unlike other seafood restaurants in San Diego, The Fish Market has its own fishery, fishing boat, and oyster farm. Try the California King Salon in soy and garlic marinade, served with your choice of au gratin potatoes and steamed vegetables. Del Mar.

The Tin Fish
In the heart of the Gaslamp, The Tin Fish welcomes all to its casual, open-air patio, the perfect place to enjoy seafood classics. Try the Mixed Fish & Chips with fresh swordfish, salmon, and halibut. Downtown.

tin fish

i went to comic con this weekend and had dinner at the tin fish in the gaslamp district- definitely a good choice! i had the salmon burrito and it was a complete dream. it tasted really good and everything was moist just how i like it! i wish i had tried the fried scallop- my friend some and they looked absolutely divine but she wouldn't let me try :( that witch.
