Adapta Project, a Tijuana-based curatorial collective, takes on Sezio.org, a new online site dedicated to covering local art and music, in a three-round art-off at Cream Coffee Bar in University Heights.
The art shows will feature one Tijuana artist chosen by Adapta and one San Diego artist chosen by Sezio. Round one went down on October 16th and pitted San Diego pop-surrealist painter Mike Maxwell (Sezio's artist) against Tijuana graphic-design guru and digital artist, Organika (Adapta's artist). Round two went down Thursday, November 13th, with San Diego artist Justin Skeesuck against Tijuana artist Fernanda Uski.
Round Three: the final round, will go down on Thursday, December 11th, and will pit Tijuana artist Jorge Tellaeche against San Diego artist Wes Bruce (pictured left). San Diego based Joel P. West will provide the musical entertainment for the evening.

The Vision: Adapta Project is a curatorial duo that shows art whenever and wherever they can. The duo is Kinsee Morlan and Jorge Tellaeche. Kinsee is the arts and culture editor for San Diego CityBeat, an alt weekly, and Jorge is a fulltime painter and graphic designer. They were sick of complaining about the Tijuana/San Diego art scene, so they did something about it. Get more at AdaptaProject.com.
The Show: Don't miss the third and final round of the Adapta Project three-round art-off on Thursday, December 11th from 6-10pm at Cream Coffee and Bar, located at 4496 Park Blvd. in University Heights, San Diego.
