Angels & Airwaves Confirm Belly Up Gig

Angels & Airwaves, the band led by blink-182 singer-guitarist Tom DeLonge, will perform Feb. 1 at the Belly Up in Solana Beach.

 

The show will mark the official area debut of the band, fondly known by fans as AVA, since the late October addition of San Diego drum wiz Ilan Rubin. Rubin, 23, is a former member of Nine Inch Nails. He replaced original AVA drummer Pete "Atom" Willard in late October.

 

Tickets, priced at $20 each, for AVA's Feb. 1 Belly Up gig go on sale Friday at noon to the general public. However, a pre-sale began this morning You must be 21 or older to attend.

 

AVA's Belly Up show is being billed as part of AVA's "Love" tour, which kicked off with a sold-out show at the Belly Up on March 26, 2010. In case you missed that gig, here's our review.
