From shopping at the Plaza to beach days at 15th Street and luxurious sunset cocktails outside L'Auberge after a winning day at the Races, Del Mar never disappointed this summer.

Jumping into fall, the Del Mar Village Association is reminding locals what we love about autumn with the annual Taste of Del Mar and Art Stroll, taking place in the Village on Saturday, October 4 from 10-5pm. There are two main elements to this much anticipated event: the Taste from 12-4pm and the Stroll from 10-5pm.

Starting with the Taste of Del Mar, attendees will be able to taste culinary treats from top Del Mar restaurants from 12-4pm. Participating restaurants in the 2008 Taste of Del Mar are: Americana Café, Bully's North, Café Secret, Café Del Mar, Crepes and Corks Café, Del Mar Brigantine, Del Mar Rendezvous, Edamami Restaurant, En Fuego Cantina and Grill, Epazote Oceanview Steakhouse, Giorgio's Osteria del Pescatore, Harvest Ranch Market, Il Fornaio, Jake's Del Mar, Java Kai, Jimmy O's, Pacifica Del Mar, Poseidon Restaurant, Ruth's Chris Steak House, and Sbicca an American Bistro.

At three select restaurant locations, guests will also sample a variety of premier wines and ales from Firestone Brewing Company, Stone Brewing Company, HOPE Wine, Avalon Winery, and more. Tickets are $40, and can be purchased online here.

Now for the Stroll: the Del Mar Art Stroll is free for all from 10-5pm, featuring original works by over 70 artists in varying mediums. Stroll through the Village and meet artists and art enthusiasts as you enjoy sculpture, paintings, photography, ceramics, fine jewelry, mix media and much more. Some of the participating artists in the 2008 Art Stroll are: Ronda Ahrens (painting), Elon Ebanks (sculpture), Libbi Shorts (glass), Michael Sussana (photography), and Dorothee Naumburg (jewelry). During the Del Mar Art Stroll, guests are also encouraged to experience the Kids' Interactive Art Area and the Pet Stroll. After you view professional works of art, see what your children can create as they enjoy a series of interactive art stations full of aesthetic fun and entertainment. The Kid's Art Area will be stationed at 13th Street and Camino Del Mar from 12-4pm, and is free to all - sponsored by the Del Mar Library. If you're a pet lover, bring your pet to the Art Walk and opt for the Pet Stroll. From 10am-5pm, stroll through the Village with your favorite pet and pick up pet treats at participating locations.
