Cedros Avenue Third Thursday Gallery and Shopping Night

Published : 1/12/2008 by Craig Slike

On the third Thursday of the month, Cedros Avenue Design District in Solana Beach (near the Coaster stop) stays open a little later and welcomes patrons to cruise around in the twilight hours. From 5:30 to 11pm this charming little boutique and gallery destination puts on a retail and art walk about.

This is where you go to find one-of-a-kind items in niche boutiques - you won't find this stuff in a mall. If you happen to have a significant amount of discretionary spending cash you can furnish your home, decorate uniquely or find that perfect gift for the person who has everything. For the rest of us it's just a nice little window shop meander through a quaint part of town.

Don't miss Cedros Gardens, an organic nursery with definitive character and The Brighter Side, a boutique for women battling cancer.
If you get hungry head on over to the Pizza Port Brewing Company on 101. Home to some of the best pizza and microbrews in the county, they guarantee "a unique dining and drinking experience."

After checking out some art, doing some shopping and grabbing some grub, why not take in a show? The Belly Up Tavern (the BUT) in the center of Cedros, offers world class entertainment and some consider it the venue for the best sound on the west coast. If you visit in January, you can catch "Cross Canadian Ragweed" and "The Farmers."
