Del Mar Village Association proudly welcomes the return of Summer Solstice on Thursday, June 18, 2009. Sip and taste the best of Del Mar to the backdrop of live music and silent auctions as you soak in the summer sunset at Powerhouse Park from 5-8pm.

This June Del Mar ushers in a new summer season with the annual Summer Solstice event featuring your favorite Del Mar restaurants and California wineries and breweries. Some of the best participating restaurants include: Del Mar Brigantine, En Fuego Cantina and Grill, Jake’s Del Mar, Sbicca an American Bistro, and Poseidon Restaurant. Powerhouse Park is a stunning and iconic landmark in Del Mar, and the perfect setting for a sunset-infused event of this kind. Cheers a wine glass to your neighbor as you enjoy front row ocean views and listen to the music of Randy Fontaine and the Swingers. 

Tickets are $40 and are available online at DelMarMainStreet.com. Public valet parking is $8 and will be available in front of Bully’s North; public parking is also available across from Powerhouse Park. Plan ahead and check out the parking map.

What’s New: Three finalists from the Food Network’s current reality series, The Next Food Network Star will be demonstrating their culinary skills at the Del Mar Summer Solstice event. Hosted by Marc Summers, The Next Food Network Star is a reality series in search for the next gourmet master to host their own show in the Food Network. Witness reality TV come to life with finalists Jamika Pessoa, Debbie Lee, and Eddie Gilbert at Summer Solstice!
