Meals-on-Wheels San Diego is setting the stage for an evening of cocktails, entertainment and cuisine at their annual Dine with the Chefs Fundraising Event to be held on Sunday, September 28th at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. For over 20 years, Dine with the Chefs has raised funds to battle the senior hunger crisis throughout San Diego County.

Guests of Dine with the Chefs will enjoy culinary creations presented by Chefs de Cuisine, a group of San Diego-based executive chefs and restaurant owners. Entertainment will be provided by Wayne Foster Entertainment, and a live auction will feature items such as a Summer Sailin' Package boat cruise with Summer Pops tickets, a private, in-home Celebrity Chef party for eight, signed art from marine-life artist Wyland, travel and get-away packages, and more. Carol LeBeau of KGTV/10 News will be mistress of ceremonies.

- Steve Black, Executive Chef, Director of Culinary Services & Sheraton Hotel and Marina

- David Chenelle, Executive Chef, Sempra Corporate Dining

- Jose Duran, Executive Chef, Casa Guadalajara

- Jeffery Roberto, Executive Chef and Owner, Sushi on a Roll Catering Company

Every year, Meals-on-Wheels San Diego recognizes both an individual and a corporation for their outstanding dedication and continued support. For 2008, Joy Ledford will be honored for her more than 24 years of senior advocacy and volunteerism, and Cubic Corporation will be honored for their continuous philanthropic donations.

Dine with the Chefs will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina,1380 Harbor Island Drive, and the doors open at 5pm. Tickets are $150 and can be purchased online at meals-on-wheels.org. All proceeds from the evening's events will benefit Meals-on-Wheels San Diego programs, and sponsorships are available.
