Padres players, coaches, broadcasters and foodie fans are kicking off the 2012 Season with Dinner on the Diamond, a festive benefit for the Padres Foundation on Friday, Feb. 10th.
Dinner on the Diamond is a unique opportunity to interact with local MLB leaders on their home field. We spend many spring days and summer nights watching the star players steal bases and dive for game-winning catches, and now it’s our turn to dress up in swanky cocktail attire and storm the field at PETCO Park.
The evening begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6 p.m., followed by a multi-course dinner and program presentation at 7:15 p.m. Then it’s time to celebrate with dessert and dancing, complete with live music by The Wayne Foster Orchestra.
Dinner on the Diamond is presented by Porsche, and supports the Padres Foundation’s commitment to youth baseball and softball initiatives in San Diego. There are three levels of admission. The MVP ticket includes admission for one guest, at $200; a Home Run Package includes a table for 10 guests, at $1800; and the Grand Slam Package includes a table for 8 guests and a Padres VIP, at $3000.
