Discover What's New at 2008 La Jolla Festival of the Arts

Published : 6/23/2008 by Angella d’Avignon

The art and culture community of La Jolla is cleaning off its brushes for the La Jolla Festival of the Arts this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 28th and 29th from 9am to 5pm.

The La Jolla Festival of the Arts is among one of the top rated art shows in all of California boasting 109 award winning local and national artists in all styles and mediums including watercolor, oil, sculpture, jewelry, and photography. As a patron of this event you can expect a variety of cuisines in the festival food area as well as a chance to listen to live entertainment.

New to the La Jolla festival in 2008 is a freshly redesigned layout, enabling guests to more easily locate artists, eat, and of course sit back and relax. Also new is the Hyundai Genesis Test Drive, where guests can test-drive the 2009 model that outperformed BMW and Lexus in driving tests. An exotic car display featuring vintage Rolls Royces and Bentleys will also be on display. Author signings at the legendary La Jolla Warwick's Books will give patrons face time with nationally recognized authors. Perhaps the busiest booth will be the Clay Gordon area. Internationally known for his taste in chocolate, this chocolatier will give tips on buying, tasting, and enjoying chocolate for those who take their chocolate serious.

The 2008 La Jolla Festival of the Arts in San Diego is free for active-duty military (with ID), and coupon discounts are also by visiting the event website here.

Thanks

for promoting this event. It is going to be the best year ever.
