We hope you’re thirsty! San Diego Beer Week is spilling into our incredible local craft brewery scene November 6 – 15, 2009.
In case you didn’t hear, our city was just named the top beer city in the country by Men’s Journal. San Diego is also one of the first U.S. cities to host an official Beer Week. Inspired by models in Philadelphia and San Francisco, the inaugural San Diego Beer Week is a 10-day event that will showcase the amazing craft beer we make, serve, cheers and drink in our city.
Did you know: San Diego is home to more than 33 working breweries that offer daily brewery tours and beer tasting events, as well as dozens of bars and restaurants that feature our favorite local drafts on tap. Just a few of the best breweries in San Diego include: AleSmith, Ballast Point, Coronado Brewing, Green Flash, Firehouse, Karl Strauss, Oggi’s, Pizza Port, San Marcos Brewing, and Stone.
San Diego Beer Week invites you to discover the burgeoning beer tourism industry with over 100 buzz-worthy events across 10 days, concluding with a Chef’s Celebration of Beer pairing dinner. Some of the week’s highlights include: Ten Year Lineup of Stone Imperial Russian Stout at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, Third Annual Barrel Tasting Night with Lost Abbey, homebrew classes with Ballast Point/Homebrewmart, Belgian Beer Dinner at the Quarter Kitchen, Beer & Cheese pairing class at Great News Cooking School with Karl Strauss and Venissimo Cheese, Green Flash 7th Anniversary Party, and First-Fling Frisbee Golf Tournament with Hamilton’s Tavern.
