When you learn to fly with Corporate Helicopters in San Diego, you are able to fly nearly 365 days a year. While this may be a no-brainer for locals who expect perfect weather, it is especially important to visiting or foreign students who are incurring expenses to stay in San Diego and wish to finish their ratings as quickly as possible. Plus, when you’re not in the air, you’re encouraged to experience the many great San Diego attractions, including SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Mission Bay, and trips down to Baja California and Rosarito Beach.
The Flight Training Experience
Corporate Helicopters houses fully equipped Bell 206’s and Robinson R-22 Beta II’s and R44’s as well as a FLYIT Simulator. Flight instructors are also corporate pilots, and in addition to giving flight instruction, they perform charters, photo and filming flights, rescue flights and many other types of flying missions. As a Corporate Helicopters student, you will receive the benefit of the pilots' experience in the industry.
Helicopter Pilot Job Training Perks
Unlike many other flight schools, Corporate Helicopters is a full service helicopter charter operator and Electronic News Gathering helicopter specialist. This means the student has the opportunity to receive on-the-job training by taking advantage of the many news and charter flights where the left seat is available.
Corporate Helicopters former student Jeff Horonzy shares his experience: "From day one I was impressed with the friendly atmosphere, level of service, and quality of instruction that Corporate provides. Not only do they offer flight training in a comfortable learning environment, but flying at Corporate and seeing their day to day commercial operations gives you a front row seat to many facets of the helicopter industry."
Insider Tip: Many students choose to fly to Torrance, California, home of the Robinson Helicopter Company. As authorized dealers for the R22 and R44, Corporate Helicopters can arrange a fly-in tour of the factory for students.
