The holiday season snuck up on us, and one local charity event allows us to help an incredible cause while also getting some of our holiday shopping underway. San Diego After-School All-Stars, an organization determined to keep youth safe and help them achieve in school, has put together a fun event filled with local celebrities, philanthropy, and the hottest winter looks. The Fashion-aiding Holiday Mingle and Jingle will take place at Bloomingdale's in Fashion Valley on Tuesday, November 29th, starting at 4:30pm.
From some of our favorite Chargers and Padres players to media personalities, this holiday event will be brimming with local celebrities. Fine styles will be put together with the help of local students and modeled on the runways by guests including Dante Hughes, Cam Thomas, Will Venable, Robert Ortiz, Dave Batista, Geena the Latina, Frankie V, Kiptyn Locke and Tenley Molzhan (pictured), Sharon Heilbrunn and Jenny Cavnar.
This charity function is part of the Career Exploration Opportunities Program, created by the After-School All-Stars. This program encourages students to find meaningful careers by providing them with knowledge and hands-on experience in several fields, including the fashion industry. Students will be making jewelry that will be available for purchase and partaking in yoga and zumba, steel drum shows, and cooking demonstrations.
Support the community and get in the holiday spirit during the Fashion-aiding Mingle and Jingle event at Fashion Valley. To learn more about this organization and what you can do to help, visit sdafterschoolallstars.org.
