La Chica Chic, Fashion Careers College and DiscoverSD.com present Fashioned for a Cause on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the W Hotel – the most stylish charity event of the year.

Some of the most fashionably conscious organizations have come together to bring you a spring evening of chic accessories presented trunk show style, a glimpse at emerging local designers down the runway, hosted signature cocktails and alluring live entertainment - all for a great cause. As you enjoy a quintessential San Diego fashion event on the rooftop Beach at the W Hotel, proceeds will benefit “Shoes for the Soul” - a charitable organization that provides shoes for children and youth whose families are at or below the poverty line.

Head to Beach Bar, the sandy rooftop lounge atop the W Hotel, on Thursday, March 5th from 6-9pm. With flowing complimentary LeBlon cocktails in hand, guests will enjoy boutique shopping from specialty vendors (including must-see clutches and accessories from La Chica Chic), and a debut fashion show featuring emerging designers from Fashion Careers College. A competition for best designer will be held as judges choose their favorite from the rooftop runway.

Admission to the event is a brand new pair of children or youth footwear in original packaging, or a $15 donation at the door.
