You might recall, a few months back, devastating wildfires raced across the Southern California landscape. In San Diego County alone approximately 1,500 homes were lost and more than 500,000 residents were forced to evacuate, or as my 3 year old niece put it “evaporate.”

As one of the a half million wildfire refugees whose houses were saved by the hard work and dedication of our fire fighting heroes I'd like to say thank you to those who fought and please let me help to those who lost.

This Thursday, January 17, at Anthology in Little Italy, the San Diego Foundation's After-The-Fire Fund is giving us the opportunity with a Fire Relief CD Release Concert. A number of San Diego's best local talent have come together and contributed songs to an 18 song compilation CD. Proceeds from the album will go to the After the Fire Fund at the San Diego Foundation. The $27 cost of admission also gets you a copy of the album.

Good cause and amazing talent aside, Anthology is a destination in and of itself with three levels, two balconies, amazing acoustics, impressive stage with video tricks, and talented bar and serving staff. It's a great combination of fine dining and live music.

The show starts at 7:30pm, but get there early to find parking, grab a drink and get comfortable.
