I had never spent money on something so "dinky" and unregulated. Some restaurants like Bombay, and Lotus Thai prepared delicious small sample plate which really represented what they offer in regular basis. However, award-winning restaurant like Kimosabe offered "dinky" ice-cream-sandwich. Don't we go to restaurant like Kimosabe to eat the food that we cannot prepare easily at home at regular basis? Does that ice-cream sandwich really represent what they offer at the restaurant? Some restaurants started ran out of food samples way before 4pm. I feel if I had spent $30 ( really more like $33 because they charge $3 service fee on-line ) on a lunch, I could have had really decent lunch. Not vegetarian friendly either. My boyfriend who is a vegetarian basically starved during this event. Over all, I would not want to participate that ever again unless the committee regulates some basic guide line for all the participating restaurants. So very unhappy :-(
