Along the pictorial streets of La Jolla returns the annual La Jolla Gallery Wine Walk and Taste, Thursday, October 20th from 5-9pm. A city celebrated for some of the most pristine coastal views, meandering guests are invited to stumble upon the gem that proudly carries an active scene of exquisite art, fresh cuisine, and rich wines.
Beginning at Herschel Street, art and wine-enthusiasts can embark on a self-guided stroll through over 15 of La Jolla’s most prominent galleries showcasing internationally-celebrated art. La Jolla’s finest purveyors of art and artifacts join with the upscale restaurant community that continually brings visitors to the coastline. It’s a combination of some of the finer things in life, and perfect timing to mark the first glimpse of autumn settling in San Diego.
The cultural enlightenment takes life though many of the galleries, this year including participants Africa and Beyond, Carlton Gallery, Coloseum Fine Art Inc, Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery, Los Manos Del Artesano, Madison Gallery, and Peter Lik Gallery. From the ancient classics to more modern and contemporary pieces, the La Jolla arts community is offering a large enough artistic scope for everyone to enjoy. Each participating gallery location will host samples of premier wine varietals from all around the world, pairing art with reds, whites, and sparkly champagnes.
Simultaneously satisfying the senses will be a handful of La Jolla restaurants on call, serving bite-sized samples of their cuisine. With over 20 of La Jolla Village’s finest taking part in this year’s Wine Walk and Taste, those with an appetite can enjoy the flavors of Italian, Mexican, seafood, and sweets throughout their stroll. Restaurants cooking up tastes this year include Aquamoree, Azul, Prep Kitchen, Tabu Sushi Bar & Grill and Whisknladle.
Indulging in the art, wine, and food of the La Jolla Gallery Wine Walk & Taste is strictly for the 21 years and older. Guest must have a valid ID to enter the galleries. Tickets to the evening stroll are $40 when purchased online in advance, and $45 on the day of the event. All proceeds will benefit La Jolla Village Merchant Association.
