Once again dominating the downtown scene and compromising the town's innocent, the 2009 Winter ASR trade show is back in San Diego at the Convention Center, January 22-24.

Always prepared to turn the surf, skate, snow and swim industries on their ass with a barrage of over 500 action sports brands, top manufacturers, industry pros, massive demos and business seminars, this show is staying in the vein. Of all the action that will be jammed packed within 72 hours, we have gathered some of the show's highlights that are definite must-sees:

The Skateboard Mag & Damn Am Awards, 2008
Jan. 22, 6pm to 8pm
Created by the Skateboard Mag and Damn Am, this free awards show will take place immediately following the first day of ASR; honoring skateboarding's finest ams with awards and the crowning of Skateboard Mag's YBAm. Hosted by SPoTlight Productions and many special guests, the show will provide footage from all of the 2008 Damn Ams, and free beer will be there for the taking.

MegaRamp
Top pro skaters will tear apart a 30-foot mega ramp and perform insane tricks right on the ASR floor. The first ever Mini MegaRamp will debut at this January ASR show.

ASR / SIMA Board Builders Pavilion
ASR will once again present the SIMA Board Builders Pavilion on the main show floor to highlight the latest in board technology and construction.

ASR Runway Show: "Fashion Revolution"
Edgy looks and London Underground-inspired action sports gear will be showcased at ASR's Fashion Revolution Runway Show, Thursday and Friday at 2pm. Following the show, summer and fall collections from over 60 juniors and young contemporary lines will be on display.

Ultimate Quiver: On Water Demo
Wednesday, Jan. 21, 7:30am to 11:30am
Presented by Surfing Magazine and held at the Wave House in Mission Beach, this inaugural ASR water demo provides a way for buyers to test the performance and technology of surf boards, wetsuits and other aquatic gear. An assortment of quads, fishes, thrusters, SUPs and mini guns from top board builders will be available for testing.

ASR After Parties in San Diego
From Wednesday to Saturday, the best San Diego clubs and bars will host wild San Diego ASR after parties until the late night. We recommend the Monster and TK Productions ASR party at Aubergine, sponsored by DiscoverSD.com, on Thursday, January 22, 2009. Get all the Aubergine party details here.
