In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month this October, join the Long Beach-based band, Delta Nove, along with the Keep-A-Breast Foundation (KAB) for an evening of great music and an even greater cause on October 12th, 2007 at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach.
It could be your mother, your grandmother, or your best friend. The reality is that any type of cancer can directly affect your life. It can happen to anyone, anytime, with no warning.
The Keep-A-Breast Foundation is a unique, local non-profit organization aimed at increasing breast cancer awareness among the younger generation, using a fresh perspective at one of a kind art events. They create plaster forms of real female torsos, established artists paint them to customize each mold and then they are auctioned to raise money for more education campaigns as well as research, prevention and treatment. Band Delta Nove will also donate a percentage of the proceeds from the show to KAB.
Heavily focusing on reggae, Brazilian, ska, and rock styles, Delta Nove consists of five extremely talented musicians playing an array of instruments that are as culturally distinct as their music. They have four self-produced albums, with the newest one released in June entitled “The Future is When," which captures the very diverse musical style.
Come join KAB for an evening of art, auctions, and awareness along with the infectious rock and energy that is Delta Nove. For more information on this event and breast cancer awareness, visit Keep-A-Breast Foundation or contact Jamie Minotti with The Madero Group.
