On Scene: A Week in San Diego Photos

This weekend our DSD party cam hit all the hottest events in town, from restaurant opening preview parties to risqué Valentine’s fashion shows, celebrity book signings, every local’s favorite winter escape and our industry bachelor and bachelorette charity date auction.

New from The West Group, Gaijin Noodle + Sake House hosted a VIP Preview Party on Saturday, Feb. 11, during which an exclusive industry group tasted Chef Antonio Friscia’s Asian-inspired menu. Must-try dishes range from Jidori chicken meatball, to Brandt beef skirt steak and marinated short rib, paired with Kakitori cocktails made with Japanese shaved ice. Familiar faces we spotted dining and drinking at Gaijin include Brian Malarkey, Mike Georgopoulos, Jamie Lynn Sigler Pescatello and Jake Pescatello, Patrick Eckstein, Brandon Thomason, Errol Asuncion, Pablo Aguilar and Kirk Harrison, among others. In other weekend news, real housewife of Beverly Hills Kyle Richards held a signing for her new book, Life Is Not a Reality Show, at Warwick's in La Jolla on Saturday. Later that night, the Andaz Hotel embraced the season of love and lust with a Lace & Leather Valentine’s Affair fashion show party featuring looks by Dr. Love’s and Gloss Boutique. Our weekend finale came in the form of Wintervention, our cold weather take on summer fun, starring DJ Chuckie at the Hard Rock Hotel on Sunday afternoon. View all photos.
