Local Sound: March Concert Calendar

Starting in March, the birds are back to chirping and spring is on its way in. We’ve got other sounds on our mind, though. Top artists are making their way to San Diego to sing loudly and rock hard. Flogging Molly at House of Blues – March 7

For the House of Blue’s 20th Anniversary, Flogging Molly will take the stage in San Diego. After they perform, the seven-piece Celtic band will hang-out with fans and indulge in the celebrations. Doors 7 p.m. Show 8 p.m. Sold out

Alicia Keys at Valley View Casino Center – March 13

Powerhouse singer Alicia Keys will have all eyes on her as the “Girl on Fire” performs from her fifth album, as well as hits from the career-launching Songs in A Minor and The Diary of Alicia Keys.  She’ll be joined by the seductive singer Miguel. Travis Porter at Stingaree – March 15

Hip-hop group Travis Porter (composed of Ali, Quez and Strap) take their beats to the Stingaree stage. 10 p.m. $10+. Buy tickets

Imagine Dragons at House of Blues – March 18

Josh Ritter at Belly Up Tavern – March 18

Singer Josh Ritter is a storyteller when it comes to songs that construct detailed narratives. He’s arriving in San Diego just a couple weeks after the release of his latest album, The Beast in its Tracks. Doors 7 p.m. Show 8 p.m. $22-$24. Buy tickets

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis at FLUXX – March 21

FLUXX has announced they’ll be celebrating three years of superb (and sexy) San Diego nightlife with a live performance from two artists currently on everyone’s speakers. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will get FLUXX-ed up for the 3 Year Anniversary Bash. The Black Lips at The Casbah – March 23 & 24
