Nick Verreos Hosts Style Wars at Simon Fashion Now

Simon Fashion Now welcomes a new chic and competitive element to the local runway lineup.

Project Runway star Nick Verreos will headline FIDM student “Style Wars” competition at Simon Fashion Now on Saturday, September 12 at Fashion Valley. During Style Wars advanced fashion design students from FIDM / Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising will compete in a fashion draping contest in front of a panel of celebrity judges.

Nick Verreos, Project Runway star, FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising graduate, instructor and spokesperson will be making an appearance at Fashion Valley to preside over an interactive student style competition whereby 10 FIDM Advanced Fashion Design students will be competing in a fashion draping contest in front of an audience and a celebrity panel. Local celebrities judging the competition are Nikki Jones, 944 Magazine; Andrea Naversen, Ranch & Coast Magazine; Arthel Neville, Fox5 Morning News; and Leonard Simpson, Fashion Forward host for Style - KUSI TV.

10:30 a.m. - Students prep their spaces
11:00 - Nick Verreos appearance and FIDM design contest
12:15 - Judges comments
12:45 p.m. - Winners announced

Immediately, following “Style Wars” there will be four runway shows, every hour, on the hour, plus Style Stops offering advice and insight to the latest cosmetic trends.
