Orfila Vineyards & Winery - the award-winning boutique winery of Escondido - will host an eclectic mix of yummy grub rolling in this month. They’re prepping for the first ever Escondido Gourmet Food Truck Festival taking place on Sunday, November 18 from noon to 6pm.
In the Orfila Vineyards & Winery parking lot, foodies can snag a bite of some of San Diego’s most followed food trucks, feasting on everything from lobster grilled cheese sandwiches to spicy Thai cuisine. All ages are welcome to attend, while the 21 and up only can explore Orfila’s exclusive tasting room. The wines will be available at $10 for six tastes. Wines by the glass and bottles will also be available for purchase.
Ready to chow-down? Food trucks participating in this inaugural event include Thai 1 On, Slow Cal BBQ, Groggy’s Fat Sandwiches, Pierogi Truck, Not So Fast Food Truck, Chubby’s, Sweet Treats, Two for the Road and Underdogs.
This festival serves to benefit the Escondido Children Community Development Center. ECCDC is a licensed non-profit preschool for children ages 4 months to kindergarten for low income families who are working, looking for work, or pursuing higher education. Your wine and food purchases will help make schooling for these children more accessible and affordable.
Overflow parking and a shuttle to Orfila Vineyards & Winery will be available at the San Pasqual High School parking lot, located on the corner of San Pasqual Road and Bear Valley Parkway. Orfila Vineyards & Winery is located at 13455 San Pasqual Road. For more information, visit escondidofoodtruckfest.com.
