Reeve Oliver CD Release Show at The Casbah

Local 3 piece indie band Reeve Oliver will take over the Casbah Thursday, December 20th to celebrate the long awaited release of their new album "Touch Tone Inferno."

Reeve Oliver is a great example of the incestuous nature of the San Diego music scene as the band shares members with numerous other local acts. Reeve Oliver is fronted by Sean O'Donnell, formerly of Dogwood and concurrently performing with Fever Crotch, occasionally Bad Credit and the Sea World Dolphin Show. The Bassist, local music legend Otis Bartholameu (O) also fronts Fluff. Brad Davis sits in on drums but also fronts the Cankles and the Sea World Sea Lion and Otter Show. O'Donnell and Davis are also accomplished thespians/comedians performing with area sketch comedy troupe The Honking Geese and most recently Pushing Back Days, a play about video games. Needless to say- they like to keep busy.

In 2003 the band self-released a six-song EP drawn from their demos called "Reevolution" that won the award for Best Rock Album of 2003 at the San Diego Music Awards, even though it wasn't a full album. Spring boarding off that early success they've toured with larger acts such as The Vandals, Yellow Card, and Switchfoot.

Some say, "[Their Music] blends the nervy energy of punk-pop with the lightly mopey affect of emo while embracing the big guitar attack of bands like Dinosaur Jr. and The Pixies." Other just say they're kind of like Jimmy Eat World.

Either way the Casbah show will be monumental as Satisfaction and Say Vinyl also play to round out one hell of a local line up.
