Mark your calendar for the biggest volunteer event in San Diego County, where you can  play a crucial role in keeping our ocean, coastlines and waterways clean and free of debris. San Diego Coastkeeper and I Love A Clean San Diego are hosting the 23rd Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 15, 2007 from 9am to 12noon.

Sixty different San Diego beaches are sponsored by the Coastal Cleanup event. That means you’re free to tidy up your beloved stretch of sand, be it Pacific Beach or Del Mar.

 
The event is a part of International Cleanup, one of the world’s largest volunteer events, including all 50 states and almost 100 countries. Last year, nearly 6,000 volunteers donated their time to clean up San Diego beaches. Let’s break that record!
