Downtown San Diego YMCA will hold Summer Night on the Midway, a fundraising event benefiting at-risk, low-income San Diego youth.

Proceeds from the event will go towards YMCA youth programs including youth literacy, before and after school programs, scholarships, financial assistance, and new facilities. The event takes place on Friday, August 22, starting at 6:30pm aboard the historic USS Midway, and will be hosted by Honorary Chair and San Diego Charger's defensive end, Luis Castillo.

This unique San Diego charity event benefits downtown youth, but guests will also benefit from a night with a gourmet buffet dinner, hosted bar, live music provided by New Moon Flyers, dancing, and flight simulator and guided tours on the USS Midway. Also, exclusive items, such as tickets to the sold-out Chargers vs. Saints game in London, autographed memorabilia, a trip to Hawaii, and dinner at some of the best San Diego restaurants will be given away at live and silent auctions throughout the evening.
