ShamROCK St. Patty's Day Block Party

Some shamrocks were meant for picking, and some were meant for partying. Our stylish San Diego shamrock chooses the latter. It’s time for one of the largest parties to rock the city, St. Patrick’s Day style.

Observe this legendary Irish holiday at the ShamROCK Block Party in the Gaslamp Quarter on March 17th. This year is all about the lucky number 17 as ShamROCK is celebrating 17 years since its start.  

Roll out the green carpet! 80,000 square feet of Astroturf will be rolled out into a sea of green, setting the scene for three stages of live entertainment featuring DJs, rockin’ bands, special live performance by Young Dubliners, all the green beer and whiskey you can handle, and smokin’ hot go-go dancers. And seeing as how St. Patrick’s is an official feast day, there will be plenty of Irish fare to balance out all the drinks you’re sure to have.

Presented by Jameson and The Field, the party starts early at 2pm. As part of the entertainment for this year’s line-up, The Field Irish Stage will host all rock and Irish favorites, an all new Electronica stage will be set up on Fifth Ave. and F Street, and a final stage located next to the 150 foot Irish pub will host over 25 Irish River Dancers.
