Former Saturday Night Live cast member Jon Lovitz is bringing nationally acclaimed stand-up to the Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego.
Lovitz broke onto the comedy scene in 1985 with his "Yeah! That's the Ticket" catch phrase, wielding Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar. Since then he's appeared in numerous movies, TV shows and Broadway Theater performances, even staring in his own animated series "The Critic". Twenty years later, he is doing stand-up comedy, and now performs regularly at the Laugh Factory on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.
The SNL Alum has chosen San Diego's Aubergine Restaurant & Nightclub as the new venue for his shtick at 9pm every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night, making Aubergine a one stop nightlife and entertainment shop for your evening on the town. Sectioned off into different t
hemed rooms, you can catch dinner in the Aubergine dining room, hit the comedy club in the large event space, and dance the rest of the evening in the nightclub. Don't worry- there are full-bars in each Aubergine sector, and the staff is more than happy to help you out.
The John Lovitz stand up performance series at Aubergine are 21 is up, tickets are $25, and David Spade is scheduled to headline the show on Saturday November 17, 2007. Rest assured, it's a good bet Andy Dick will not be performing... ever.
