At the close of summer, East Village will boom with sounds of a brand new large-scale music event brought to San Diego by three major local entertainment companies. The SoCAL Music Festival is gearing up to rock and rave on Saturday, September 1st from 2pm all the way until the clock strikes midnight.
Four stages of music will host both headlining bands and electronic dance music DJs, spanning over five blocks of East Village. You can expect only the biggest and baddest names in music from the brains behind the bash: McFarlane Promotions, RMD Group and Eventvibe.com.
Hot Lineup: Recently announced headlining band Cold War Kids will bring an indie touch, while Too $hort lays down his legendary raps. Other talent scheduled to rock this fest include Designer Drugs, Felguk, Krewella, Norin & Rad, Vokab Kompany, Hyena & Family Wagon.
You know McFarlane Promotions from their sensational downtown holiday productions like Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp, ShamROCK and Monster Bash. As a top event coordinating company, they know how to handle the hoards of San Diegans who when given the chance, can party day to night. Similarly, RMD Group is celebrated for their hot nightlife standards downtown, operating some of the top dancing and drinking spots in the country like FLUXX, Side Bar and F6ix. For SoCAL Music Festival, they’re bringing these bold attitudes to the outdoor block party. And lastly, the Eventvibe.com crew will offer their extensive knowledge of DJs and electronic shows to turn this festival into an EDM playground.
Beyond the music, crowds can also expect interactive art exhibits.
