Channel 93.3 held the annual Summer Kickoff Concert Friday at Sleep Train Amphitheatre. Pop radio hit makers headlined, from Ne-Yo and Demi Lovato, to Icona Pop and The Wanted.
When the lights go down on stage, it’s anyone’s guess where the stars will celebrate their big night in San Diego.
After the Friday night show, members of English-Irish boy band The Wanted were spotted downtown at Quality Social. According to our sources, Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran were rolling deep with a crew of 14 people when they grabbed a few tables at Q.S. for a round of pub grub. The party noshed on wings, fish tacos and sliders, while relaxing with craft beers. But later on, they spiced things up with Fireball shots and the house specialty, Picklebacks -- whiskey and pickle juice.
And here is where boy band superfans will get super jealous. Our Q.S. sources say The Wanted boys sent a round of drinks to some good looking ladies at the bar. It could have been you!
Irony: I wonder if the boy banders know their kind of music is typically banned from Quality Social’s hipster speakers? Either way, we’re glad you came, guys! Better luck with "Walks Like Rihanna."
Celebrity hot spot alert: Ed Westwick, known as Chuck Bass on “Gossip Girl,” was spotted at Quality Social last month. More celebs seen at Q.S. include Aziz Ansari, Ron Jeremy and Shaun White. When Comic-Con rolls into town, celeb spotting goes into high gear. Anna Kendrick, Joel McHale, Seth Green, Jamie Kennedy and Adam Devine hopped into Q.S. during Comic-Con in years past.
