On the water at Mission Bay Park, thousands of young and socially-conscious professionals will gather together to raise funds for a new youth homeless shelter in San Diego while enjoying live performances by Matisyahu, Mason Jennings, Bassnectar, Pinback, Dirty Sweet, Pete and J, Jay Nash and a range of local and regional DJs. In addition to the music, Fieldtrip Entertainment will present an interactive live art show as DJhere Productions shows locals how to party in bay-side cabana booths.
More than a party and music festival, the Elemental Experience features a pre-show fund-raiser walk along Mission Bay, a hosted breakfast for fund-raisers and 10 hours of live music. Staging, sound and lighting for the event will be powered by the sun. Gas-powered generators, single-use plastics, Styrofoam and other environmentally harmful materials will be banned from the site. Ticket-holders can use green shuttle services and recycle materials at special stations throughout De Anza Cove.
Stay Classy’s fund-raising goal for Elemental Experience is $500,000 and with acts like Matisyahu on the bill it’s clear that Stay Classy is pulling out all the stops for this great cause. The festival is part of Stay Classy’s yearlong effort to raise awareness of the plight of homeless youths in San Diego. Proceeds from the event will be used to build a solar-powered youth homeless shelter.
Elemental Experience tickets are $40 until Friday April 3rd, when they go up to $45, and can be purchased online here.
