Stephen Strasburg 5K Walk & Fun Run

On Saturday, January 15th, join Washington Nationals pitcher and SDSU alum Stephen Strasburg and former Major League all-star Tony Gwynn for the inaugural 5K Walk & Fun Run benefiting the Aztec Baseball program.

This fun-filled family-friendly event held at San Diego State University will include games and fun for individuals of all ages. The event will begin promptly at 8am at Tony Gwynn Stadium and include a walk/run through the beautiful SDSU campus. Participants who register for the event will receive an all-inclusive package featuring a free autographed Stephen Strasburg commemorative photo, two complimentary tickets to a 2011 Padres game to the first 1,000 paid entrants, commemorative Stephen Strasburg 5K Walk & Fun Run with Tony Gwynn t-shirt, a free SportClips haircut coupon for all paid entrants, two tickets to a 2011 Aztecs baseball game, and a race gift bag with amenities from walk/run sponsors.

In addition to Stephen and Tony, many SDSU celebrity alumni and many other local stars will be on hand for the festivities. Participants and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live music; A Kid’s Fun Zone with bounce houses from LB Jumpers Express, games and contests; an autograph tent featuring current and former SDSU Aztecs, and a free food court with food samples provided by walk/race food sponsors.

Start out the New Year with a kick by and be a part of the Stephen Strasburg 5K Walk & Fun Run. Register online on or before December 28th for only $35; on or before January 12th for $40 and all the way up to the race day for $45. Children ages 4-12 cost only $20 before December 28th and $25 after January 15th. All students receive a discounted entry fee of $25.
