If you’ve always wanted to help out a charity, but didn’t know quite where to start, have we got the event for you!
St. Baldrick’s Foundation is holding the 3rd Annual Shave-a-thon at Quality Social on Saturday, March 12th from 12pm – 4pm. Whether you have long locks or just a short way to go, dare to go bare at this fun and innovative San Diego charity event that helps raise money for childhood cancer research.
Over the past 11 years, St. Baldrick’s Foundation has raised over $90.6 million dollars with almost 150,000 heads shaved worldwide. The Foundation uses the money to fund research projects with the purpose of finding innovative cures for childhood cancer, as well as new treatments that improve the quality of survivor’s lives.
Think you got what it takes? To be a shavee, all you have to do is register online, upload a photo of yourself with hair and share why you've chosen to brave a shave. Next, email family and friends, asking for financial support and while you're at it, invite them to see you face the clippers and go bald. After that, all that’s left is to show up at Quality Social and be the star of the show as your head is shaved for a life-saving cause.
Not only do you get a chance to help the fight against cancer, but you also get a reason to day party with friends. Hmm ... did someone say Pickle Back shots? Quality Social will be providing complimentary appetizers, live music, and plenty of drink specials for encouragement. In addition, a silent auction will be held featuring unbelievable prizes. Whether or not you decide to shave it all off, come have fun while raising awareness for this deserving cause.
