The 4th Annual CityBeat Festival of Beers

On Saturday, April 9th the CityBeat Festival of Beers will return for its fourth year to raise funds for the San Diego Music Foundation and San Diego Brewers’ Guild.

Every year, San Diego’s craft brewery and music scenes team up to promote awareness and increase the visibility of fresh, local brews through education and participation in community events. 

“We’re looking forward to another successful event and encourage everybody to purchase tickets early since the Festival has sold out the past three years,” said Kevin Hellman, publisher of San Diego CityBeat and president of the San Diego Music Foundation.  “This is a great opportunity to come out and sample some of San Diego’s best local brews, enjoy local music and support two local non-profit organizations that work to support San Diego’s growing music and craft brew communities. San Diego is at the forefront of the craft beer movement, which makes this such an exciting event.”

This year’s Festival will run from 1pm-5pm in front of the historic Lafayette Hotel in North Park, and will feature unlimited beer samplings from more than 30 San Diego craft breweries as well as various local food vendors. Entry to the festival gets you unlimited tastings, plus live music on the Bar Pink Stage by celebrated San Diego bands, including Tape Deck Mountain, Little Hurricane, Stevie & the Hi-Stax, and Maren Parusel.

The Festival of Beers has sold out for the past three years, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets. General admission tickets can be purchased in advance for $32, or for $37 on the day of the event.
