The Beautiful and The Damned Masquerade AffAIRR

Posted On : 7/8/2011 by Bailey Mobley

San Diego cannot breathe without AIRR: The AIRR Supper Club that is. Sitting a story above the sultry streets of the Gaslamp resides a scandalous oasis of red and white. Acclaimed as the city’s newest and innovative night lounge since its opening in March, the ambiance and interiors are designed with the fusion of fashion and function as a gourmet eatery by day and glowing venue by night.

The mastermind behind this concept is none other than Southern California’s premier interior maven, Amy Noel.  As a trend setter and fashion icon, Noel’s eye for creativity has resulted in a nightlife scene that creates a matrix of monochromatic space that takes contemporary to the next level.

Aside from the exclusive rockstar cocktails such as the Janis J and Johnny Cry Cry Cry which perfectly compliment the progressive plates that will satisfy any phening foodie, AIRR offers up unprecedented events that make any guest feel VIP.

On Thursday, June 30 DiscoverSD had the ultimate affair with AIRR as San Diego masked themselves for The Beautiful and The Damned Masquerade Ball. Think Alexander McQueen meets Lady Gaga as this night included a live fashion showcase as guests sipped hosted cocktails and listened to the beats of DJ Schoeny. View photos here.

With hair and make-up provided by Diesel Salon and designer threads hand-picked by Amy Noel herself, Market Street became the catwalk as twelve of San Diego’s top models strutted the streets for a runway show like no other.  When asked about what owner and Master Stylist Candice “It was fun for our team to get creative and think outside the box.  It was exciting to take Amy’s vision of what she saw and we were able to let our creativity flow by putting all the final touches on the models. Hair and make up is essential for any fashion show and we were able to work to create mask-like make-up and re transform the models.”

Grasping for AIRR? Stay tuned for more events at AIRR Supper Club which is open for dinner and bar service Wednesday through Sunday, 5pm to 2am, and is available for private events. For more info, visit AIRR in San Diego.
