Haunted Trail of Balboa Park is one of the most frightening Halloween events in San Diego.
By day, Balboa Park is a sanctuary of lush, soothing beauty. By night, it undergoes a terrifying transformation. The trees become gaunt, ominous. The shadows come alive. And what in the world is that sound? Without a doubt, San Diego’s Haunted Trail will frighten you silly.
The entirely-outdoors Haunted Trail of Balboa Park includes haunted groves, meandering pathways crawling with creepy creatures, and more. Even better (or worse), fairy tales live in the Haunted Trail – but not those heartwarming bedtime stories your mommy used to read you. Think about it. What if the story of Little Red Riding Hood came true? What if the Seven Dwarves weren’t very friendly? Do you really want to know?
Of course you do! Head to the Haunted Trail of Balboa Park this October for the ultimate Halloween treat.
Haunted Trail Hours & Other Info: The Haunted Trail Balboa Park is open Wednesdays through Sundays. On Fridays and Saturdays, the Haunted Trail is open from 7pm to 12am; on Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 7pm to 11pm. The event is also open October 29th and 30th from 7pm to 11pm.
The Haunted Trail is located at Marston Point in Balboa Park, just east of 6th and Juniper street. Tickets are available at the door for $13.99, or you can purchase them online in advance. Happy haunting!
