Discover the rich history and growth of America’s Finest City since the 1840s through changing exhibitions at the San Diego Historical Society’s recently renovated Museum of San Diego History in Balboa Park. The museum is home to a vast archive of over 2 million photographs of or about San Diego.

The Historical Society also operates the Serra Museum in Presidio Park, featuring Spanish, Mexican, and Native American artifacts; the Marston House, a picturesque Arts & Crafts-style residence also in Balboa Park; as well as the Victorian-style Villa Montezuma in Sherman Heights, with its distinctive onion dome, ornate interior, and art glass windows.
