Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach
Kate Sessions is the perfect afternoon destination for you and your dog, because it’s beautifully scenic, with lots of room to run and play. Bring your dog’s favorite toy and some snacks, and enjoy the view. Kate Sessions is located on Soledad Road in North PB and permits dogs when they are kept on a leash. Dog Beach in Ocean Beach
We locals live in a city where we can take advantage of gorgeous beaches – it’s only fair that your pup gets to enjoy it too. Ocean Beach Dog Beach is awesome for coast-loving owners and pets because dogs can run and play in the sand and grass, or frolic in the waves. Cricket’s Corner in Encinitas
Owned and maintained by Rancho Coastal Humane Society, Cricket's Corner Community Dog Park is the first privately owned, off-leash dog park in Encinitas that is open to the public. The 1-acre fenced in park gives dogs and their human companions a place to play fetch or simply relax on one of the park benches. The park is open Tuesdays from 11:30am to 5pm, and Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays from 11am to 5pm. For more information, please visit Rancho Coastal Humane Society.
Poway Dog Park in Poway
The Poway Dog Park is an award-winning 1.75-acre fenced-in, off-leash area for dogs within the City of Poway’s Community Park. This fun-filled park is open from sunrise until 9:30pm with lighting inside off-leash area after dark. For more information, please visit Poway Dog Park.
Morley Field Dog Park in Hillcrest
Located at the west end of the Morley Field Sports Complex, this expansive off-leash area consists of an immense grassy field, dotted with small trees, perfect for running and fetching. Wells Park in El Cajon
This 1.4 acre grassy area within El Cajon's Wells Park is the East County's second no-leash dog park. and is a grassy haven for pooches. It has gravel and grassy sun areas and dual drinking fountains for pets and their owners. The off-leash area is open daily from 7am to 9pm and is lighted for dog owners who want to take their pooch out after the sun goes down. For more information, please visit Wells Park.
Fiesta Island Dog Park at Mission Bay
Fiesta Island is one big party for you and your dog. Off-leash dogs are permitted, and there is plenty of sand and water for your dog to run amuck. Bring some friends, stay into the evening and sit around a bonfire. Dogs are allowed on beaches after 6pm from April 1st to October 31st and after 4pm from November 1st to March 31st. Nate’s Point in Hillcrest
Since 1996, Nate’s Point in Balboa Park has been one of the most popular off-leash dog parks in San Diego. Thanks to local support of our improvement plan, the 24-hour large grassy park is completely fenced, and amenities include drinking fountain, picnic tables, and double-entry gate. Coronado Dog Beach in Coronado
Located at the most northern end of the beach next to the Naval Air Station, Coronado Dog Beach offers a place for dogs and their owners to come for a day or weekend retreat. Montevalle Dog Park in Chula Vista
This 29-acre park in Rolling Hills Ranch along Hunte Parkway in Chula Vista is the perfect destination to take your dog for a little off-leash running and socializing with other pups.
